Walking Into My grave

Tonight I walked our town cemetery, looking for/finding friends. No names, as privacy
extends beyond, but I saw one stone, a duet marker as yet incomplete, the husband
yet alive.
I wondered how it was for him, to see his name and birthdate there next to his wife's particulars.
Moving on, I saw a classmate, and recalled when he passed.
But then the living.
I continued my walk at home, visiting with a neighbor; my usual route and then more visiting with friends coming out of a restaurant.
About the walking-back in May I hit the Diabetes lottery and came out a winner.
So now I have changed everything in my life, and go out walking most every night.
Sounds odd, but this diabetes has been a blessing, in that it has forced me to focus more on remaining as healthy as I can for as long as possible.
Look for another post soon.
