Comfort For Some

"Who is among you that fears the LORD, That obeys the voice of His servant, That walks in darkness and has no light? Let him trust in the name of the LORD and rely on his God."

Even in the darkest of dark times, we who fear (respect) the LORD, who obey Him, who Trust in His name can and do rely on Him.

Behold, all you who kindle a fire, Who encircle yourselves with firebrands, Walk in the light of your fire And among the brands you have set ablaze."
The human assumption is that our 'own' light/wisdom/achievement is capable of dispelling/vanquishing darkness. But such Human wisdom always fails, because we carry the Darkness inside each of us. It's called Sin.

"This you will have from My hand: You will lie down in torment."

You don't know the struggle I've had about this post-I love the affirmation for the children of God, but that last line about those who will lie down in torment...that is tough stuff. But it would have been a cheat to focus only on the first verse and ignore the second.
