Death Day! Death Day!

Yuppers. I just had a bit o cake, and will consume a chunk of candy in a little while.
Comic hoax or not, saw today that someone has nomed Vlad the Imputin for the
Nobel Peace prize. Fingers crossed!
The title of this post might not make sense to the unenlightened. And everyone else.
One and a half great artists met their fate on March 5th-Patsy Cline in 1963, John Belushi
in 1982.
I count Belushi as half a great because he tossed away Life in selfish drug abuse. That's pathetic.
Roughly 1/365th of the world's population all through history has died on this day.
Roughly because why? Why not exact? Class?
Firstly, because Leap Year  Feb 29ths throws off the approximations. Right?
Number dos: The Flood. 99.999 percent of the world's population wiped out in a short few weeks.
Today across the interwebs there are plenty of pix of "Ash" from "The Evil Dead" meant to
represent the pagan contrition memorial AKA "Ash Wednesday". I may be low, but I don't sink to that level.
Happy Death Day, citizens! Those clued in are now rolling their eyes. 30

The Ukraine might be memorializing this time as the country's death day.
I don't make light of the situation, but we need to keep light going.

"99.999 percent of the world's population wiped out"

Many of which were infants and toddlers barely able to utter a word. Do you believe these children are all in Hell? What crimes can a baby commit that would merit their being drowned (a very horrific and unpleasant death)? Further, how can you oppose abortion if even fetuses are criminals worthy of death?

Or do you take the position that they were simply "collateral damage" and went to Heaven even though God had to take their lives because He was unable or unwilling to be more specific in His destruction?

Hello James-I have an easy answer for your query; whether or not you accept it is up to you.
Though we are all born with a sin nature, as we are all related back to Adam and Eve, God saves whom He will through Grace.
I am saved by Grace. I can do nothing to earn Salvation. It is all God's doing.
You might remember from your Sunday School classes hearing about a time when people were bringing their children to Christ to be blessed.
The Apostles tried to stop that from happening, as they thought it was bothering Christ.
Christ said, "Do not stop the children from coming to me for of such is the Kingdom of Heaven."
Children who have not yet progressed to the point where they can consciously sin and know that it is sin, if they die, they are saved by the same Grace that saved me.
There are many Scriptures that bear this out, and I just followed a Bible series on Heaven which explored this very point about children, babies in the womb being in Heaven if they die.
So yes, when 99.999% of the world was destroyed in the flood many children/babies died and went to Heaven. The only adults that survived were in the Arc.
If you think that it was unfair of God to kill most and save few...that is something that you will have to take up with Him.
